Citizens challenge Tonj government over poor hygiene

Citizens of Tonj State raised complains and blame the government for failing to keep the town clean and lacks vehicle for carrying away garbage in the city.
 
They say the government is collecting money from shopkeepers every day for keeping town clean, but still the money is misused in the ways that not benefiting the citizens, Don Bosco Radio reports.
 
The citizens explain that the work of the government is take good care and the health of citizens and protect them against diseases.
 
They also challenge government of throwing rubbish randomly on streets in the Tonj town.
 
The citizens call on government to intervene and care for lives of citizens because its role is to protect and care for its people.
 
The municipality council’s members fail to comment on the blamed raised by citizens against them in the state.
 
Two month ago, citizens raised the same complains, but the government and the municipal council declined to respond to their demand on hygiene and sanitation of Tonj town.
 
There were speaking to Don Bosco Radio on Tuesday in Tonj state.
 
Don Bosco Radio could not to reach Health Minister and the assembly for comments.
