All government officials and NGOs should reflect on the future of the next generation because they are the backbone of the country, says Justine Atit, United Nations Mission in South Sudan Civil Affair officer in Wau State.

He says all people are worried about the education of the young generation as another big challenge in South Sudan.

“Let us be thinking about who will be taking our place and normally people say when you reach 50, 60 you don’t about yourself, you think about who are the people going to take over from you”, he stresses.

Atit explains that conflicts which always lead to violence are destructive to the country.

He notes that NGOs and government are to work together for better a progressive community.

“We work with the government, with you as well to make sure together we can be able to create a cohesive leading society where people are able manage their own conflict”, he notes.

The official made the remarks during the opening of the Community Empowerment Foundation organization.
