The Catholic Bishop of Yei Erkolano Lodu Tombe urges Christians to pray for priests as they start their spiritual retreat from Monday to Friday.
He says the retreat is to re-energize themselves after a lot of hard work for many months in order to be stronger in serving the people of God, Radio Easter reports.
‘Let us remember our priests who will be from tomorrow up to Friday having their retreat, spiritual retreat to refill themselves again after a lot of exhaustion many times probably without thing about their spiritual life. They need to refill in order to be stronger to serve, to serve all of us, to serve you, in that way to serve the Lord and His church’, Bishop Lodu stresses.
Fr John Loboka encourages Christians to be hopeful that one day the suffering of the Catholic Diocese of Yei will come to an end after its pastoral work reduction to only one center.
‘The diocese of Yei will rise again, the diocese of Yei will shine again re-splendid with the splendor of the Lord risen from the death, ‘we cannot be pessimistic despite the suffering in this world, we are very sure that good will overcome evil, love will overcome hatred. T
