Wau State Minister of Agriculture declared that the twenty tractors President Salva Kiir donated are not of good type and cannot last for long in South Sudan environment.
According to Voice of Hope Radio, Simon Athuai Akot explains that this type of tractors cannot tolerate heavy works and can easily get damaged.
The minister notes last year the tractors were not functioning well in some places, but with all challenges farmers are still working and are having hope.
‘These types of tractors are called Belarus where engineers complain that it is not a good quality’, he justifies.
The official spoke to Voice of Hope Radio on Wednesday in his office.
