St Joseph Parish in the Catholic Diocese of Wau on Friday organized a conference for youth on leadership in the church.
Chairperson of the committee, Volvo Peter Sabino, explained that the purpose of the conference is to help the youth to abstain themselves from evil deeds, Voice of Hope Radio reports.
Youth need to be developed spiritually because they have a big role to play in the church, the leader indicated.
Peter urges the youth in all parishes to cooperate in the service of the church and should not allow devils to possess them.
The conference brought together 90 young people from six different centres of St. Joseph including Mama Theresa, St. Bakhita, St Mary Queen of Peace, St. Stephen and Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The meeting at Don Bosco Vocational Training Center in Wau is expected to end next Sunday with Eucharistic celebrations.
