Western Lakes Council of Ministers re-instated seven Members of Parliament who were dismissed by the former state government.
The MPs are former speaker Marik Nanga Marik, Isaac Makur Buoc, Martha Atiriu Mamer, Marial Macar, Mabor Ater Dhuol, David Kockedhia and Zachariah Magot Ater.
Speaker Chol Koutwel Manhom on Tuesday it was unlawful for the state governor to dismiss an appointed member of parliament from the assembly.
Re-instate MP Martha Atiriu Mamer says she is happy to resume her work to represent her constituency in the assembly.
She calls on national state governments’ executive to allow Members of the Parliament to exercise their roles of check and balance.
The MPs said their removal by the former governor Matur Chut was politically motivated.
