The Director General for Education in Yei River State says schools are receiving support from the government, confirming that this week teachers will get incentives.

Amule Flex Sosthene said the incentive I meant to motivate teachers to keep teaching learners.

He clarifies that the money is given to permanent teachers in their schools.

‘By this week, there is going to be transfer of money, call incentive. This incentive is always given to the teachers so that they can be motivated, remain in their class room and conduct their lessons in a more regular and effective manner. This money is going to be given to all the teachers who are reflected in their various schools as permanent teachers, especially the ECD schools or the nursery schools, this money is call incentive for you and secondary schools,’ Flex explains.

Amule ask schools receiving the money to have accounts so that the money is submitted to the account not to the headmaster.

He appeals for accountability of the money with signed copies of all teachers receiving the money to be submitted to Payam, Municipality or state for verification.
