The Catholic Bishop of Yei said on Sunday that authority is not anything but services to people.
Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe urges the people to support their government leaders at all levels because leadership is a very difficult and challenging work.
‘Authority is nothing else, but service to your people. Let us support our leaders, our president, governors and commissioners’, Bishop Tombe appealed.
The catholic prelate calls on the leaders to keep their faith and responsibilities as civil leaders.
Bishop Lodu assures the leaders of the commitment of the Church to support them in prayers.
‘Our task is to support them {leaders} and ask them to keep their faith as well as their responsibility as our civil leaders. So that they can always be with the people, support and lead the people on the right path. Excellency, commissioners, we assure you of our commitment of prayers with you so that you can lead us to the way of justice and peace’ the Bishop pleaded.
The C`atholic Bishop was preaching on Sunday at Christ the King Cathedral in Yei.
