The government of Yei River on Tuesday conducted state budget conference for the financial year 2019/2020.
Minister of Finance Sadia Lorna Anthony says budgeting helps in determining government plans to implement priorities through utilization of scarce resources, Radio Easter reports.
The state government must be accountable to the people on expenditure, she notes.
The minister stresses that the state government must raise revenues and account for them in a fair, legal and transparent manner.
The finance minister reveals that 2019/2020 is to the tune of 872,146,519 South Sudanese Pounds.
She explains that 72 percent shall be from the national government transfer and 28% from is expected from the state revenues in form of taxes and non-taxes.
