Partners and government should work together to initiate more vocational training centers to expand to other counties outside Yei town.
Scopas John, Terres Des Hommes or TDH vocational training monitor says partners are not only focusing on the training in Yei town, but want to extend the same services to other youth outside the Municipality.
‘There is need for the organisation to focus outside Yei municipality to expand the program and not to send technician from place to another’, he says.
John reveals that together with the partners and the municipality they were able to get eighty youth who are now undergoing different skill learning in the municipality.
He mentioned Humanity and Inclusion, Voice of Change, IPCS, UMCHOR, TDH, ECSS education department are all partners who send vulnerable youth for the training.
‘List of youth who are vulnerable been sent by the organizations to us’, he adds.
The vocational training monitor reveals that ten youths are doing driving course while 70 are registered for different courses including simple mechanics, tailoring, hair dressing, catering, electoral installation and plumbering.
