Tonj Governor releases five prisoners

The Tonj State Governor on the 8th anniversary celebration of independence issued an order for the release of five prisoners.
 
Mathew Mathiang Magoordit says the inmates had minor crimes and they deserve to be pardoned.
 
The five convict freed by the governor are; Ajing Malou Ajing, James Majur Rum, Bol Achuil Ayei, Akech Yor Jok and Akuei Mayen Ayei.
 
The director of National Prison Services Marko Awuoc Kuot confirmed the release to Don Bosco Radio.
 
He points out that it is the duty of the government authority to screen the prisoners with the minor cases, and free them during freedom celebration.
 
Awuoc advises young people to engage in productive work rather than resorting to stealing
 
The official made the remarks to Don Bosco Radio on Friday in Tonj.
