The Strategic Defence and Review Board or SDRB completes critical security assessment for reform in the sector.

The deputy minister of defence and co-chair of SDRB Malek Ruben explains that with support from the National Pre-transitional Committee the board has successfully completed the assessment.

He stresses government’s commitment to the implementation of the peace agreement and that a team is in Uganda, Sudan and Kenya for consultation on security reform.

Malek is urging the international community, civil society organizations and religious leaders to support the implementation of the R-ARCSS.

The Executive Director of Organization for Responsive Governance Rajab Mohandis says the aim of the seminar is to allow members of security arrangements to brief the public on the status of the permanent ceasefire and safety for civilians.

The officials were speaking during a seminar organized by Organization for Responsive Governance on Friday in Juba.
