CTSAMVM witnesses numerous challenges supporting cantoned troops

Ceasefire and Transitional Security and Monitoring and Verification Mechanism or CTSAMVM says it faces numerous logistical challenges in supporting provision of food, water, medicine and shelter for the already cantoned troops and those supposed to be cantoned.
 
In a statement on Thursday, CTSAMVM says despite challenges, it has observed progress on cantonment, although it is slow.
 
CTSAMVM Chairman Desta Abiche Ageno says to date they have verified 27 of the 35 sites’.
 
He appreciates the parties for the steady improvement in the reduction of denials of access since the last board meeting.
 
‘I am pleased to report that we have experienced a steady improvement in the reduction of denials of access since our last Board meeting, and I give credit to the Parties’ chains of command in enforcing this important element from the Peace Agreement,’ the chairman praises.
 
General Abiche also urges SSPDF leadership to resolve issues with the Third Division to allow access for forces verification.
