The Yei Catholic Diocesan Counselling Centre or DCC starts training of 30 community members on leadership and governance.
Counsellor John Mawa Fredrick told Radio Easter that the aim of the course is to equip leaders with skills and knowledge on how to practice good governance in their communities and families.
He adds that they are also creating awareness on the dangers of drugs and alcohol consumption in the community.
The counsellor says drugs and alcohol consumption are major causes of family breakdown in the society.
Fr Tom Poru Martin during the opening remarks of the three-days workshop says people are tired of conflict and need peace, justice, forgiveness and reconciliation.
He reveals that through the spirit of God, people can get total peace, justice, forgiveness and reconciliation.
The three-days training is organized by the Diocesan Counselling Centre of the Catholic Church of Yei.
