Wau and Tonj states’ governors say that conflict can be resolved at by addressing the root causes.
During the peace and reconciliation conference of the three states, Wau Tonj and Gogrial, Tonj governor Matthew Mathiang Makoordit says the conference will resolve the issues between farmers and cattle keepers of the three states.
He points out that previously the three communities lived peacefully amongst themselves.
Meanwhile Wau state’s governor, Angelo Taban Biajo, says dealing with the cause of the conflict is the only way to foster peace among these communities.
The governors were giving their remarks during the peace conference at Peace Hall in Wau.
