The Minister of Information in Tonj on Tuesday confirmed to Don Bosco Radio that governor Matthew Mathiang Magoordit is leading a delegation of 124 participants from different counties of the state left to Wau for peace conference.
According to William Wol Mayom, the conference co-organized governments of Gogrial, Wau and Tonj, national government with support from UNMISS.
The minister says the aim of conference is to solve the conflicts between the three sisterly states Tonj, Wau and Gogrial state.
He adds all the participants of these three states are brought together to iron out their grievances and find the root causes and resolutions of their conflicts.
Wol says the conference was postponed at first due to logistical and arrangement of the technical committee from the three states.
He cites that lack of transport was another problem that led to the postponement of the conference last month.
The speaker talked to Don Bosco Radio on Tuesday before the delegation leaves Tonj for Wau.
