Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO in collaboration with UNIMSS trained taskforce, including stakeholders on peace dissemination process in Yei River State.
Advisor to the Governor on Political Affairs, Jacob Aligo Lo-Ladu told Radio Easter that the training aimed at helping the taskforce to disseminate the peace process.
‘Yesterday, we concluded a two-days training for members of the taskforce and the other selected stakeholders which include members of the organized forces and the other communities of South Sudan that are residing in Yei and we added the youth into the team of the dissemination so that they get a training to help us in the dissemination process’, said Aligo.
Aligo Lo-Ladu explains that the team needs to understand its role in the dissemination of the peace process.
‘The citizens of South Sudan and Yei River State in particular, are the most important stakeholders to disseminate the agreement because they were the most affected citizens of this country. Therefore, the citizens have the greatest role. First to understand what is in the peace agreement and their role as citizens because the citizens have got role to play, especially in the transitional period. There are issues that may need their participation and if they don’t understand their role within the peace agreement, they may not play their role positively’, he stresses.
Lo-Ladu calls on the participants to understand their role in the peace agreement to play a great role.
