Torit Catholic Bishop is pleading to all parish priests in the diocese to ensure full representation of their parishes during the solemnity of their patrons Saints Peter and Paul.

Bishop Stephen Ameyu Martin says all parishes should send their representatives for the celebration.

He says all parishes have to enjoy the celebration of Sts Peter and Paul in the diocese.

The Bishop cheers the congregation to understand that the feast of Sts Peter and Paul is a connection to the mother Church of St Peter’s Basilica where the Pope sits.

Bishop Ameyu encourages the Christian community of Torit to emulate Sts Peter and Paul who dedicated themselves to the service of God.

He advises the parishioners of Sts Peter and Paul’s Cathedral and the diocese entirely to cooperate with parish priests.

The Catholic prelate calls on Christians to be servants rather than masters because the power of the Church is to serve people.

Bishop Ameyu was speaking during the feast of Sts Peter and Paul’s Cathedral on Saturday in Torit.
