Former finance director general pleads to former governor to return his money

The former director-general in the Ministry of Finance of Western Lakes State on Monday requested former governor to peacefully give back his belongings including money which his security agents seized.
 
Dut Riak promises that he will not sue him to court, but should return his property including academic documents and a laptop.
 
A court order seen by Good News Radio and signed by the president of the High Court of Lakes State Mathiang Kuac Mathiang dismissed the corruption case leveled against Riak under section 226 of the South Sudan Criminal Procedures Act 2008.
 
The court also ordered the return of all personal belongings to Riak that police confiscated.
 
The former director-general says his arrest was political, and has nothing to do with money embezzlement. 
 
‘I respect him, and I do not want to take him to court, but let him release my four million Pounds and, 8,114 USD.
 
The former director made the remarks on Monday in Rumbek Town.
