The Disabled Agency for Rehabilitation and Development or DARD on Tuesday organized a one day workshop on accountability to different institutions in Rumbek.
The workshop was to enlighten the public on service delivery to the people in the state.
DARD Programme Assistant Angelina Adhel Malual said another reason of the course was to conduct community awareness on citizens’ rights and government accountability.
Participants’ representative, Barnaba Abuut Athian says there is need for accountability to discontinue mess in the institutions for good system to exist.
He urges the general public to embrace accountability and understand it well because it promotes transparency and good governance.
The public accountability forum targeted civil society organizations Network, government’s institutions, women and youth groups, parent-teachers’ associations, students, community members and chiefs.
