The Diocesan Counseling Center at Yei Catholic diocese trains community leaders on conflict transformation and management in their areas.

Facilitator John Mawa Fredrick told Radio Easter that the three days workshop aims at helping the leaders to mitigate conflict in the community and stress management, Radio Easter reports.

He explains that the main goal is to promote peaceful coexistence.

The trainer stresses that it is necessary to train the community leaders because peace starts at the grassroots.

Fr. Tom Poru Martin parish priest of Christ the King says peace in South Sudan is sung everywhere for peace to prevail in the country.

The three days’ workshop targets up to 24 participants from different communities in Yei.
