Nonviolent Peace Force organization concludes two days training of youth on prevention and response on gender-based violence in Rumbek.
Good News Radio quotes Youth Engagement Project Coordinator Kengen Elijah saying the training covered roles of gender in the community.
He explains that the training has equipped youth protection team with respect to women’s rights and encourages sharing of responsibilities in the society.
Participant Marial Akec appreciates the organisation for the training and promised to use the skills acquired to protect vulnerable people from violence in the community.
The training has attracted about 30 participants from the counties of Western Lakes State.
