Torit west county acting director for water and sanitation says his county is facing challenges of clean drinking water for both domestic and animal use.
Moses Sebit says the assessment to various Bomas indicates some areas are in critical condition that needs urgent support, Radio Emmanuel Reports.
‘ I went to the ground three days ago for the assessment because we are now in the rainy season, I toured all the Bomas, and Payams and captured some of the information the people are facing on the ground concerning water and sanitation especially there are some areas in need of support of clean water.’
Director Moses calls on humanitarian agencies to quickly intervene in drilling and supplying water points in the county.
The director is worried of the spread of water borne diseases because many locals are forced to drink dirty water from unclean sources.
He encourages the local population to be patient expressing Government commitment to ensure water points are avail to the locals
