Yei River State and West Nile Region of Uganda has formed a joint border security committee to foster close working relationship between the two countries, discloses governor.
Radio Easter quoted Emmanuel Adil Anthony explaining that the committee comprises of leaders and security agents of South Sudan and Uganda.
He acknowledges that a lot of progress has been made after the meeting in Koboko as results of cooperation and working closely.
The governor describes their cross border meeting with the Ugandan counterparts as very important.
He says they deliberated on cooperation, coordination, economy and environment issues in both countries.
Adil made the statement at the conclusion of the cross border meeting with their Ugandan counterparts over the weekend in Yei.
