The Administration of Hope and Resurrection Secondary School in Atiaba announced that the school will remain closed for one month to mourn their teachers.
Two teachers of Hope and Resurrection High school were killed on Sunday 26 May 2019, when returning to their working location.
The incident was related to revenge killing after a chief was accidentally knocked down by a Kenyan driver.

Awut condemns the killing of the two teachers and call on the state government to search for the culprits and allow justice to prevail.
She appreciates the solidarity shown by the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek and the state government when the incident happened.
