Trinity Technologies Limited has on Tuesday launched a world class state of the art data center for South Sudan in Juba.
The launching ceremony was attended by the Undersecretary, Ministry of Information, Communication Technology and Postal Services Justin Alier, Indian Ambassador to South Sudan D.K Moorthy and other senior dignitaries.
The Data Center will render services such as the mobile money platform m-Gurush, National Payment Systems, Agency and Mobile Banking and other digital payment solutions.
Speaking during the ceremony, Director of Trinity Technologies Richard Raja assures customers using mobile platform for transaction and banking that their money will be safe.
Raja says the project will also create job opportunities to the unemployed youths in the country.
Director General of National Communications Authority Lado Wani Kenyi says the data center will enable the country to establish self-sufficiency in technology, built into international standard speciation.
Justin Alier is the Undersecretary in the Ministry of Information, Communication Technology and Postal Services.
He states that the launch of the data center is a testament to the massive confidence shown by the business community in the country, taking advantage of the current instability.
He says the mobile money platform will reduce cases of insecurity in South Sudan because most of the time it involves people carrying money.
M-Gurush works across different local networks operating in South Sudan.
