The traffic police officers in Torit State are arresting unlicensed motorcycles that move on the road.

State Traffic Police Director Colonel Mark Taban says the work is intended to recover and stop illegally possessed motorcycles and cars in the state.

According to the officer, there are currently nine motorcycles without legal ownership documents in their custody.

He assumes the nine motorcycles are among those that are illegally owned.

Colonel Taban discloses that the State Legal Advisor will auction the unregistered motorcycles after six months if the owners declined to turn up, as stipulated in the traffic laws.

He urges the public not to panic because this exercise will help in following up cases of accidents.
