The killing of School Deputy Principal Charles Kule and another Ugandan Willis Herbert Binsiima happened on Sunday in Apet, Western Lakes State in what has been termed as revenge killing.

According to Awut Mayom Agok, one of the school administrators, the two teachers were killed in cold blood after a car belonging to a foreigner knocked down the Executive Chief.

She reveals that the unknown armed men opened fire at the Land Cruiser, killing Charles Kule as well as Herbert Binsiima on the spot.

‘Charles Kule and Binsiima Willis died as heroes in South Sudan fulfilling their mission of educating the future leaders of the country. ‘They sacrificed their lives for the brighter future of Young South Sudanese’ Mayom adds.

Administrator Mayom urge her students who are reacting to the situation to give the government a chance to exercise its duty to bring the culprits to book.

‘These perpetrators must face justice and I will see it happened’ she added.

She consoled the Ugandan community all over, adding their sons did not die doing their own things but serving Humanity.’

Acting Chair of Civil Society Organizations in Lakes State Hakim Cipuou-Nyuc Awur describes the incident as ‘sad and tragic moment for the community’.

He calls on the teachers and the people of South Sudan to condemn the act of attacking and murdering teachers who provide knowledge.

The killing of teachers will take South Sudan backwards especially on the side of quality education.

The state government said they have deployed forces in the area to pursue the culprits and bring them to book for justice to take its course.
