The Parish Priest of Sacred Heart parish of Rumbek Catholic Diocese in Tonj advises the faithful to recognise Mary in their prayers.
Fr. Paul Antimi says the feast of mother Mary is to allow people emulate her life, Don Bosco Radio reports.
‘We celebrate her capacity to intercede for other people’, he adds.
The priest referred to John Bosco’s quotation that if a faithful needs to know what miracles are there is need to trust in Mary and imitate her.
The parish priest adds that Mary knew what is possible and what is impossible before it happens.
He explained to the congregation that people should respect their body by not exposing it out for everyone to see.
The feast of Mary help of Christians brought together students, pupils, teachers and civil society organization on Friday in the church and other parishes.
