The Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio on Sunday celebrated twenty-five years of Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala and Fr Phillip Bingo Gamanzu in serving people and God.
Fr Bingo expressed his happiness about the 25 years which he described as a service and the joy of celebrating the holy Eucharistic for many years, Anisa Radio reports.
The priests find joy when they celebrate mass and God strengthen them with his power to invoke Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit to come down during consecration, Fr Bingo stresses.
He notes that priests do listen to Christians’ confession and make them feel relieved from their sins and God forgives them through the priests.
Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala says spending 25 years in doing one thing and for one purpose which is to change something in people’s lives and guide them to the right path of Christ.
He expressed that the love of Christians in the diocese who attended the celebration and offered various contributions touched him.
The two priests were ordained by Cardinal Gabriel Zubeir Wako on May 20, 1994 in Khartoum, Sudan.
Fr. Phillip Bingo is currently a Coordinator for Sudan and South Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference in Juba while Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala is the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio and the president of SSSCBC.
