UNIMISS concludes training of organized forces in Gok State

Human Rights Division of UNMISS conducted two-day training of South Sudan People’s Defense Force or SSPDF and National Police Services on accountability and transitional justice.
 
Good News Radio quotes UNMISS Human Rights   officer in Rumbek, Rekaboam Nyinypiu Madit illustrating the objectives of the training to the organized forces in Cueibet. 
 
Nyinypiu stresses that the main aims of the training the organized forces is to improve the relationship between the community and different institutions of government. 
 
Micheal Arik Aruek, one of the participants, says the knowledge he has acquired in the training will help him to know the rights of the children and women to deliver good services to the community.
 
Another participant Cornel Makur Meen appreciates UNMISS for equipping them on human rights mandate that will enable them to protect and respect family unit to see cases of rape and sexual violence seriously.
 
He also requests UNMISS and other organizations to make more training to the police in order to know rules and laws governing the country so that they give out services equally to the people.
 
Deputy Governor of Gok Kangor Deng Kangor urges the participants to use the knowledge in a good way for serving the community in the state and South Sudan at large.
