Torit State Revenue Authority officially inaugurated

Torit State Revenue Authority was officially been inaugurated on Tuesday after been commission on November 16, 2018 to collect state revenues.
 
Revenue Authority Commissioner Charles Onen Lukwaru told Journalists that the opening of office is a signal to all financial sectors to understand their roles, Radio Emmanuel reports.
 
He explains that the Ministry of Finance spends money collected by the Revenue Authority.
 
UNMISS head of mission in Torit Caroline Waudo says the need for government to collect state revenues is to improve the economy and lives of citizens.
 
She stresses that developmental partners will institute mechanism to ensure collection and expenditure of public funds depending on commitment of the national government.
 
Deputy Head of Mission of Japanese Embassy Mitsuhiro Tayama asks government to construct equal, transparent tax collection to convince the public.
 
He says this will guarantee effective service delivery to the citizens.
 
The speakers were talking during the inauguration of State Revenue Authority in Torit on Tuesday.
