Rumbek Catholic Diocese concludes peace building workshop

The education department of Catholic Diocese of Rumbek on Tuesday completed teachers and parents’ two-day training on peace building and conflict management.
 
Speaking during the closure of the seminar, education field coordinator Robinson Odong Wani urges teachers to work together and promote peace and unity in schools, Good News Radio reports.
 
He appeals to the teachers to have fashion and love to their career in order for children to benefit from the profession.
 
Meanwhile the facilitator, Abraham Mading Ador tells the teachers and the parents not to share with the learners and the community the skills gained in the two-day course for peaceful co- existence.
 
Ben Makoi Wade, one of the participants and head teacher of Comboni Primary School calls on his fellow teachers to make schools as places of peace and unity.
 
Mary Athiei Chol, another participant says conflict cannot stop if people are not promoting equality and knowing exactly the root causes of the disagreement.
 
The speakers talked to Good News Radio during the end of peace building and conflict management workshop on Tuesday at Comboni Primary School in Rumbek.
