The government has started connecting pipes to seven different locations in Tonj town to help reduce shortage of water in the state, confirms Director-General in the Ministry of Water Co-Operative and Rural Development.
Moses Muor Lul told Don Bosco Radio on Monday said the construction of seven water points came through the help of UNMISS team after the government requested.
He said the water points will target the areas that are not receiving water.
Mour said they will train seven people each to take care of facilities in different points in the town.
The Director-general urges the community not to use water points anyhow, but instead care for the facilities to last longer.
He advises the residents to be patient as the government is working hard to serve people with clean water.
