Rural Development Action Aid launched the third phase of ex-combatants’ course project in Yambio, Gbudue State under the theme; ‘Promoting community security, peace and social cohesion’.
Action Aid Program Coordinator Wanga Emmanuel says the purpose of the project is to train former soldiers with different skills so that they are self-reliant, Anisa Radio reports.
He says the project involves two civil society organizations adding that RDAA is leading and self-help women organization as well as peace committee
Wanga says the project will support the people to bring peace and bridge the gaps among citizens.
Meanwhile Alison Obede, one of the ex-combatants appreciates the initiative taken to build their capacity.
They spoke during the official launch of ex-combatants project in Nazareth of Nangbimo in Yambio.
