Peace dialogue concludes with success

The Disabled Agency for Rehabilitation and Development DARD in partnership with Saferworld successfully concluded community peace dialogue between five sections of Joth Mayar County.
 
The four days dialogue resolves that different communities will live together peacefully among themselves.
 
The community members accept peace and reconciliation among the people
 
An agreement named Akoot was formed as a special court that will settle cases to pave a way for compensation of people killed or wounded during conflict.
 
‘Looted property must be returned to their rightful owners and all abusive songs shall be banned to avoid more problems’, the agreement says
 
Advocacy and Saferworld Policy Coordinator Peter Machar Maluk, says peace is very important because it brings development and prosperity in any given society.
 
The dialogue brought together over two hundred participants, including youth, chiefs, women’s and local authorities drawn from different Payams.
