The listeners of Don Bosco Radio in Tonj State are calling for full contribution of women in public gatherings to make decisions.
One of the listeners Akuech Beny Awuoc says women should also be considered at family level and public gatherings to express their views.
Simon Madut Bol argues that women are full of wisdom so they should be given a chance to speak.
‘Traditionally, women were threatened by their husbands not to speak in the public gathering, but we should avoid such habits and give them freedom of speech in order to exercise their work”, he explained.
Moses Mayen Mayor calls on the government to empower ladies and be involved in all government sectors.
Another caller Akit Shanan also argues that women are the only confident people on earth because they do not fear.
”when Jesus was arrested and sentenced to death and crucified on the cross by the Pharisees, he was followed by a woman none other than Mary his mother and she did not give up in following him, but men who were related to Jesus and his disciples ran away for their safety. So let us allow women to talk because they are courageous people in their hearts”, he narrated
