South Sudan doctors conclude eye operations in Rumbek

Ophthalmological Association in South Sudan in partnership with State Ministry of Health in Western Lakes State and Light for the World ended two-week eye operations in the area.
 
The doctors operated five hundred and eighty two people and three thousand nine hundred and ninety underwent screening.
 
The activity was to create new life to blind people in the state.
 
Clinical ophthalmologist, Joseph Makur Mabeny says they did massive eye operations, but some patients were left behind.
 
Makur adds that poor nutrition and trauma are the most causes of eye problem in the area.
 
He appeals to people facing eye problems to seek medical advice from the state hospital.
 
Clinical ophthalmologist promises that his team will resume the operation in December 2019.
