Final prayer service of media hero commences Saturday

The last funeral payers of the late media hero, Alfred Taban Lo Gune will take place on Saturday, the Chairman of the organizing committee announced over the weekend.
 
Aggrey Tisa Sabuni on Friday said the death of Alfred Taban was a great lost to the South Sudanese and the whole at large.
 
The deputy governor of Jubek State says Alfred Taban was a liberator and freedom fighter who did a lot to achieve the independence of South Sudan.
 
He calls on South Sudanese to uphold his legacies to continue for generations to come.
 
Media houses postponed World Press Freedom Day because reporters want to respect their mentor, announced Edward Lodu Terso, Union of Journalists of South Sudan or UJOSS General Secretary.
 
He says the late freedom fighter was promoting media development and press freedom and expression in the Sudan and South Sudan.
 
The General Secretary reminded the lawmakers and mourners that Alfred Taban was an outstanding founder of the Association for Media development in South Sudan and National Editors Forum.
 
‘Alfred Taban believed that no hard working journalist can ever be poor’, he stressed.
 
The late’s body was laid to final rest on Saturday in Limi Boma of Kajo-Keji County after the MPs viewed on Friday.
