Three hundred and seven-eight staff contracted by CCM in Tonj Civil Hospital left the work because of low payment in Tonj, according to the Director-General in the State Ministry of Health And Environment.
John Akot Tong spoke after the national ministry of health issued circular confirming that the hospital had been close down.
He explains that 470 health personnel were working in 36 facilities, but 92 staff are government employees and 378 are CCM employees.
Don Bosco Radio quoted John Akot saying that they formed a committee in the ministry to follow up and collect data from different facilities in all counties.
The circular affected the hospital which led to shortage of staff mainly experts, he adds.
According to Director-General he says the government could not manage to pay for the three hundred staff in these facilities.
He adds it is very difficult to one who is receiving over one thousand dollars to accept incentive indicated in the circular, but that the policy will remain as it is.
He urges the public to be patient since the national ministry of health is working hard to solve the problem.
