Torit State Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Cooperatives have forbidden entertainment centers from operating on Fridays during farming season.
Radio Emmanuel reports that minister Clement Chichim Laku, has declared Fridays for cultivation a decision aimed to boost farming.
Chichim condemns idleness and says violators of this order will face legal actions.
He encourages citizens to take cultivation seriously to kick out hunger.
The minister urges farmers to form groups to increase production as rainy season approaches.
On 23rd April 2019 the Torit State ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Cooperatives declared Fridays for farming particularly for government employees.
