St Bakhita Chapel in Tajura of Sts Peter and Paul Parish of Gidel in the El-Obeid Catholic Diocese celebrated Easter on Sunday.
Voice of Peace Radio reported that during the Eucharistic celebration seven candidates received the sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation.
Sts Peter and Paul Parish Priest, James William Silgat, urged the newly baptized and confirmed members to be strong in faith to overcome the work of Satan in their lives.
He warned against going for witchcrafts and idols worshiping.
Fr William advised Christians to come out to the light of God in order to be saved.
Tajura catechist, Yuhana Ali calls on the newly baptized and confirmed members to continue serving in the church and be good example to others.
The catechist has been serving in Tajura Chapel since 1998.
