The South Sudan Opposition Alliance or SSOA expresses concerns that the situation in Sudan may affect the peace process in South Sudan.

During CTSAMVM tenth meeting, SSOA Team leader Yiwodo John Otor calls for consideration of the situation of Sudan.

‘Another issue I want to raise is the situation in the Sudan. We need to put it to our consideration because that is a big challenge to our peace’, he stresses.

Omer Hassan Ahmed Al Bashir was finally removed from his seat after nearly four months of protest and dozens of deaths among demonstrators at the hands of the security forces.

The Inter-Governmental Authority on Development or IGAD in its statement on the issue in the Sudan said it is closely following developments in the Sudan.

IGAD urges all involved to ensure a peaceful transition.
