The acting minister of information in Tonj State confirmed that on April 14, some youth attacked pastoralists in Jebel Malolo of Pagol County and raided fifteen cows.
According to Deng Madut Deng, Pagol Commissioner consulted his counterpart about Kuarjena incident, but the commissioner denied it, Don Bosco Radio reports.
Madut says Kuarjena recovered ten cows with help from the authorities.
The official mentions that the same group also attacked pastoralists in Buollo, Pagol County and injured one person.
Madut urges the authorities of Kuarjena County to find the culprits and stick to the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement.
The acting minister is calling on governments of both states to resolve issues affecting the civilians.
Don Bosco radio could not reach the commissioners of the two counties for comment.
