Tonj State Governor has officially launched the training of referees and football coaches on Thursday.
Maj Gen Mathew Mathiang Magordit appreciates the referees and coaches for turning up.
He pledges government’s commitment to stand firm with the youth in developing sports activities in the area.
Governor Magordit appreciates the delegation from Juba for conducting the training.
He states that sports eliminate tribalism and nepotism among communities.
Minister of Education in Tonj State Deng Madut Deng says sports promote and unity in the country.
‘I want to tell you that sports is very important, don’t take this training for granted, sport is the place where there is no corruption” he adds.
In a related development, the governor of Tonj State earlier ordered the minister of Physical Infrastructure to allocate football field in all the areas within the state.
The training brought together over fifty coaches and referees in different parts of Tonj State.
