The Diocesan Coordinator of the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek on Monday tells his fellow brothers in the priesthood not to be kings, but servants in the ministry of Christ.

Monsignor John Mathiang advises priests that the ministry of Christ is for service and self sacrifice, Good News Radio reports.

‘Serving with love in the church can make us happier to offer services to our brothers and sisters’, the coordinator notes.

Fr Mathiang advises priests not to be in isolation, but interact with Christians whom they are serving as the true priesthood intended by God.

He also asks them not to involve in politics, but concentrate on their religious ministry of dedication, commitment and proclamation of the gospel.

Monsignor Mathiang urges the faithful to pray for their priests.
