Director urges farmers not to plant cereals in residential areas

The Director-General of Agriculture in Yei River State urges farmers in the town not to plant cereals like maize and sorghum in residential areas.
 
Edmond Taban Gogo says the purpose is to make the town and the residential areas beautiful, Radio Easter reports.
 
He notes that those who have already planted will be compromised with, while encouraging them to grow short crops like beans groundnuts and other vegetables
 
Taban discloses that farmers have started cleaning their farms ready for cultivation with the onset of rains.
 
The director was speaking to Radio Easter on Tuesday.
