Citizens expect South Sudan leaders to reconcile in Vatican

Western Lakes State citizens expect leaders, Salva Kiir Mayardit and Dr Riek Machar Teny, Taban Deng Gai, James Wani Igga and Rebecca Nyandeng to come back from Vatican reconciled with one another.
 
President Salva Kiir Mayardit went to Rome last month when Holy Father Pope Francis invited him to Vatican to discuss possible ways of implementing the revitalized agreement.
 
Expressing their hopes, citizens say the leaders should come back as one South Sudanese, not divided.
 
The citizens appeal to the parties to stop war because it cannot bring development to the nation.
 
South Sudan attained its independence on the 9th July 2011, unfortunately after two years; war broke out between forces loyal to President Kiir and Dr Riak Machar in 2013.
 
The revitalized agreement on the resolution of the conflict in the country was reached in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa on 12 September 2018 to end the conflict in the youngest nation.
 
The citizens talked to Good News Radio on Wednesday in Rumbek.
