Police arrests man accused of cheating 3.45 million SSP from Sudanese trader

Police in Rumbek, Western Lakes State arrested a South Sudanese man identified as Terry Doctor, after allegedly conning a Sudanese trader of 3.45 Million South Sudanese Pounds.
 
He was found and arrested at 9:30 PM on Thursday at Hill View Hotel after a thorough search into all hotels in Rumbek town.
 
Saladin Abdurrahman Suleiman, a Sudanese trader said the man on Thursday morning came to his shop saying he wanted foreign currencies for exchange and that the two should go to St. Theresa technical institute where he said he was working.
 
At St Teresa, Salahdin said the cheat was asked to sit and wait at a corner for the man to bring the money to exchange, only for the conman to escape after picking the money at the back door of the car they came with, Suliman explained. 
 
Abdurrahman expresses extreme happiness for the support and cooperation shown to him by the law enforcement of Rumbek.
 
The police never gave up despite moving from hotel to hotel in search of the accused, he adds.
 
Speaking to Good News Radio at the police station on Friday Morning, Lieutenant Colonel Martin Matur, Deputy Director of Criminal Investigation Department appreciates the competency of the police in Rumbek to hunt for criminals and recovers any property taken unlawfully 
 
He reveals that the man will be taken to court for trial.
 
The police did not however, revealed as to when the man will be dragged to court.
