Torit State Governor has tasked communities of Labalwa, Nyong and Himodonge to swear over land ownership at Morwari residential area of Torit town.

This statement came after a man was beaten by unknown groups over the disputed area on Tuesday as the government and Himodonge community were demarcating plots to residents.

Governor Tobiolo Alberio Oromo instructs communities to send 21 people each to dialogue and witness the traditional swearing over the disputed areas.

The disputes over the land between Himodonge and Nyong communities started early in 2008 with no solution reached.

Early 2010, former Eastern Equatoria government demarcated Ipalak area south of Torit Town, but no one has received any document.
